We are feeling the reality of school upon us so we decided we needed a weekend away. Knowing my husband I knew I had to try to limit the distance traveled. :) If you remember a post or two ago I had to turn him down on a very elaborate surprise vacation. Well this time he came up with a plan and I seriously loved the creative approach!

There was a budget, itinerary, maps with directions, hotel reservations... everything! I think he's figured out my love language on this one!
So we went to the Wildlife Safari in Winston and then to Portland for OMSI with some school clothes shopping stops here and there. I think the kids really enjoyed everything except the clothes shopping! Woodburn Outlets are the best!
It's nice to be home and not driving! But wouldn't trade a moment of it for the memories made!
I've got to speak to his barber! Perfect ringlets though...

Can't help but be amazed at the ability to sleep while balanced on one toothpick of a leg!

This guy was watching the other two wrestle in the water. The bears exhibit was the only one we had to keep our windows up for. They said, "They're curious" hmmm..

Well I rolled my window up when this guy came at me. He was a very curious guy! Wasn't sure if he was going to peck or not. Thought I'd be safe.

Baby goats were born yesterday in this petting zoo. They mostly stayed close to their momma but these two black ones were full of spunk!

You just never know what kind of WILD life you'll find out there!
