BJ's knee surgery was yesterday. His knee was more messed up than we all expected so he's down for 48 hours. He was thinking it would be less complex than this, that he'd walk out of the hospital, help a friend on a house today and back to work on Monday. BUT...now he has crutches for walking, an ice machine connected to him for 2 days and physical therapy to look forward to. Poor guy.
DJ is fanning him, not slapping him like it seems :) I think the kids enjoy having their Snuggle-Daddy still so they can watch cartoons on his new TV. Yep, I couldn't resist it for an early birthday present. Our projector went kaput so he would have been very bored and probably UNRULY without some type of entertainment. Still no cable or dish to connect to but we can get 3 channels over the air and at least he can watch movies. He's actually been a very sensitive guy, not wanting me to do too much for him. I know he has a hard time receiving all this attention because he's supposed to be the MAN, Provider, Supporter, Tough Guy, etc... I thought he was going to be loving it with all the extra attention, but I was so wrong. I have to keep telling him that this is what love is and does. I know he would do the same for me. Probably a better job at it too!
So anyway, today I'm nursing my patient and hoping to get to this at some point...
How did that happen? I just had Mount Laundry on my couch last weekend!

Sorry that the news was bad at the DR. Looks like the kids are soaking up the time with Dad. Holler if you need anything... :)

Loved seeing the pile of laundry, makes me feel 'normal' (except, my piles larger). :)
This gives me a flashback of David this summer after his knee surgery!! -right knee, iceman, couch, everything....Except there's no excuse for the ginormous pile of laundry still growing on our floor.
Uggh! Hope he is up and around soon...but treasuring all the attention and snuggles!

Crazy week for me. Didn't know you had surgery, B.J. I had both knees done at once. I would NOT recommend that. Going to the bathroom was a highly humiliating experience. My husband was so terrific, though. Good job Crystal---sounds like you're being a great nurse. :)
