Moments I don't want to forget...

Posted by Crystal

I think I could blog so much one day and the next... well I just can't think of anything. Well I'm hoping to use this blog to record our memories so that I can look back on them one day. Here are some random "almost posts" I've wanted to do...

DJ accepted Jesus into his heart at VBS this summer. It was the first time one of my children initiated their own steps in faith. The lady that took him aside to pray had tears in her eyes when she shared their sweet conversation and prayer together.

Fast forward a few months... We stay for 2nd service to watch 2 of DJ's friends get baptised. It was awesome to watch their testimonials and witness their own Dad baptise them. Afterwards, DJ and Madi want to do the same. We had a talk about what it means so they could fully understand their commitment. I didn't want them to just do what their friends are doing... you know? But in all honesty, sometimes that's how many people witness to others. By acting out their faith and showing they're not afraid. I'm proud of them for wanting to follow Christ's lead and they have Christian friends to share that with!

Just a few weeks ago, all three kids asked me to pray with them to open the door for Jesus into their hearts. (DJ forgot he already did) They were living in the idea that He's always been there and they didn't know any different. They didn't know He wanted them to freely make that choice and ask. So on that short drive to school, on October 7th, my 3 children asked me to help them pray the prayer for their salvation. Goosebumps, I tell you!

On a less important note, I painted some walls in my house. I went RED!! I've been very brave lately with my colors. Not sure I'm done with them yet!

The pompas grass in our yard has the most beautiful "poofs" this year. It's really shot up! (That's my literal term for the shoots)

This has been a favorite spot of ours on these cold evenings!
